Looking for info on John DEBOBEN born abt 1819 in Germany, married Augusta _____ .  Had three children, John H., Catharine, George.

The IGI records three marriages for John -- 1868 to Susan WARFELDT, 1878 to Emma HUSSEY, 1885 to Jennie WIRTZ. John H. is married to Emma in 1880 census and has a daughter, Pearl Blanch (age 2).  Emma is also buried at Glen cemetery as "widow of John H.")

There is a K. DEBOBEN in Cincinnati on 1880 census living with Jacob FOX family.  She is identified as a niece and single.

DEBOBEN
John DEBOBEN (b abt 1819 in Germany) had a son John H. DEBOBEN, b. abt 1850 in Ohio.  In the 1880 census, the elder John does not appear.  The son, John H., is 30 years old and a "retired" farmer.

Why would someone only 30 be "retired?"  Did he possibly inherit the elder John's farm?  Another son, George, is living with his in-laws and is a farmer.  A sister is missing, possibly living with relatives in Cincinnati.

Where could I access info on the transfer of the elder John's farm?  On the 1870 census, the elder John's real estate is valued at $3,500; in 1860 it was work $2,500.

thanks for your help.
