Mexican War & Shelby Co.

The following is a list of veterans who fought in the Mexican war that were  living in Shelby County in 1895, as reported to the county auditor by the assessors.  This compiled list is from the following two newspapers: the Sidney Journal of September 20, 1895 and the Shelby County Democrat of September 20, 1895.  In listing the regiment, wherever the state is not mentioned, Ohio is presumed.  Where spelling of the names differed in the two newspapers, both are given.
